NEW CORRESPONDENCE CHESS BOOK
Neil Limbert reports on a new CC book titled “Who is the Champion of the Champions”. It is written by Fritz Baumbach and others.

BCCA WILLIAM MASON CHAMPIONSHIP 2008/9 Tables

The BCCA Championship has begun with 54 players in 1 Championship, 6 Candidates and 2 Reserves sections. The Championship section is contested by J Rashleigh, K W McLaughlin, I Marshall, L K G Eastoe, G Coleman, G A D Crook, L T Ellis, Dr A C Brown and D J Finnie.

BCCA MATCHES UPDATE
Phillip Tolhurst reports on the latest scores and new matches versus 'Let's Play Chess', 'Scheming Mind' and our 'North v South' internal challenge. In the BPCTC our 'A' team scored a very respectable 11½ out of 18; the B team ended up with a mirror score of 6½. I will soon be recruiting 2 teams for the 2008/09 Team Championship, so if you would like to play please contact me.

BCCA WILLIAM MASON CHAMPIONSHIP
Keith W. McLauglin and Alan Sutton have jointly won the BCCA 2007-8 Championship. All results are now in and final tournament tables are completed.

BCCA CHAMPIONSHIP UPDATE
In the William Mason Championship Alan Sutton still leads, but could be caught by either of the Keiths (Kitson and McLaughlin). In Candidates B we congratulate Ian Marshall who is sure now to qualify for the BCCA Championship. Candidates C has been won by Mr Coleman on winning the section whilst Candidates D has seen Doug Finnie clinch a place in next years Championship with a victory against his nearest challenger.
